Transformer impedance referred to HV

  Here we will calculate transformer short circuit current using ohmic values. 
Consider a 132/33kV 25 MVA Transformer having leakage impedance 10% (0.1 pu) and let us estimate the current during short circuit test when supply is given on HV side and LV side shorted. Thus its’ ohmic value as seen from HV side will be








Here in denominator we have taken base kV as 132kV because supply is to HV side (We are referring value from HV side)
